Changing A Child's View Of The World Through Photography, Film, Art & Literacy ... |
The Photosynthesis Project aims to change a childs view of the world, through photography, film, art and literacy. By working with groups of children and young people in the UK and India in a creative way, this project will aim to break down cultural barriers and work towards providing hands on sessions that will increase their awareness of another country/culture or religion and challenge stereotypes and misconceptions. To date the Project has spent four months working with around 100 children, aged 3 18 years, from a small school/ orphanage in India to provide photography sessions, work on murals, video making classes, art, drama and English lessons, in order for the children to express themselves creatively and tell their own story. These are some of the photos from my time at Sumati Balwan School, near Pune, India. All photos are for sale and all proceeds will go towards further projects with children in India and the London, UK. Photos can be ordered in various sizes, matt or gloss finish and with/without border. 12 x 8 £10 15 x 10 £15 18 x 12 £20 23 x 16 £30 30 x 20 £40 Contact: Marian Spiers Mobile: 07954364276 Email: thephotosynthesisproject@live.com Photos: www.flickr.com/photos/thephotosynthesisproject |
