An Exhibition Of Photography
Katja Heber has been resident in London for more than 20 years but comes originally from Swabia in Germany. All pictures on display have been taken in London, whilst she earned a living as a freelance language tutor, film extra and market researcher. Over the last ten years she hasn’t left the house without a camera. Taking pictures intensified her experience of the present and the world around her, and through that, has made life, and commuting much more interesting and enjoyable. Most of the pictures on display have actually been taken on her way to and from work. “My sorroundings and the way I experience these are the source of my inspiration and I believe that art is everywhere.” Katja is self-taught. In 2000, she graduated with a BA(Hons) in languages from Middlesex University. She participated in various performance art projects during her first years in London. 

She has only recently decided to publicise her work and to make it commercially available, and in December, 2006 launched an online gallery: www.photoartkatja.com.

This exhibition features mainly images from her collection of:

  “Canopies”

 “The Situation on the Ground” – which consists of roadpaintings.

  “Watercolours”- which are images of genuine water reflections.

  “What was that?”, which feature photos taken of a moving train.

All are limited editions of 150.  They can be bought mounted (on foamex board) as displayed or just as prints on high quality paper and with archive inks.
