EIMEAR & HER WORK

A graduate in Textiles from Bretton Hall University of Leeds, Eimear is a contemporary artist who delicately uses colour, texture and symbols to communicate her feelings. Her journeys in Asia have led her to explore the arts and culture of a different society and these influences have been imprinted in her artwork.

In 2005 Eimear was commissioned to paint a room in a guest house in an ancient style of Indian art in Jhunjhunu, India. This area is famous for the highly detailed frescos of the local Havellis (the historical merchant houses) and is also known as 'the largest open air gallery in the world'. Here, Eimear expressed her painting skills in an elaborate display - boasting a gallery of endless décor, revealing historical stories and myth depicted in ornate beauty. All four walls and ceiling were covered in miniature paintings and traditional motifs. A true understanding of the spirit of the Shekhawati art was developed within her and she benefited from this experience both artistically and personally.

Born in Ireland in 1973 Eimear is currently based in Merseyside and concentrating solely on her paintings. With forthcoming shows and a growing collection of work, Eimear is fast becoming recognised for her art.

Original paintings and prints for sale and services for mural painting are available to clients with homes/business overseas. Commissions undertaken, any size/scale considered.
